Band Instrument Repair Technician - Brass Specialist

This position involves evaluating, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of brass band instruments. Technicians in this role will service school-owned instruments, walk-in and privately owned instruments, as well as Roper Music’s rental fleet. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing necessary repairs, and ensuring instruments are in excellent playing condition.

The role requires using specialized repair tools and equipment, including a large Ultra Sonic Cleaner, to clean, restore, and maintain instruments. Additional duties include documenting repair work, maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship, and collaborating with team members to meet service deadlines.

This position plays an integral role in supporting musicians and educators by delivering high-quality repair services to meet the needs of our customers

Sales Associate

This position serves as the first point of contact for customers in-store and over the phone. Sales Associates assist customers with product selection, answer questions about instruments and services, process transactions, and help create a welcoming and professional store environment.

Responsibilities include managing the register, answering phone calls, restocking inventory, organizing merchandise displays, receiving shipments, and maintaining overall store cleanliness. Sales Associates also assist with rental pickups and returns, coordinate basic service requests, and ensure accurate documentation of customer transactions.

The role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment. Team members in this position play a key role in delivering a positive customer experience and supporting the daily operations of the store.

Bookkeeper 

This position is responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, organization, and compliance across all accounting functions. The Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist oversees payroll, accounts payable and receivable, financial recordkeeping, and reporting to support the overall health and stability of the business.

Responsibilities include processing payroll, reconciling bank and credit card statements, managing invoices and vendor payments, tracking expenses, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing regular financial reports. This role also supports budgeting, tax preparation, and coordination with external accountants or financial advisors as needed.

The position requires strong attention to detail, integrity, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple financial processes efficiently. Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, and financial reporting systems is essential.

The role requires the use of specialized repair tools and equipment to complete tasks such as pad replacement, key fitting, cork and felt installation, leak detection and correction, cleaning, and full overhauls. Technicians are responsible for restoring proper function, playability, and appearance while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship.

Additional duties include documenting repair work, managing workflow efficiently, maintaining an organized workspace, and collaborating with team members to meet service deadlines.

Technicians in this role will service school-owned instruments, walk-in and privately owned instruments, as well as Roper Music’s rental fleet. Responsibilities include diagnosing structural and performance issues, performing necessary repairs and adjustments, and ensuring instruments are in excellent playing condition.

The role requires the use of specialized repair tools and equipment to complete tasks such as bridge fitting, soundpost adjustments, seam repairs, crack repairs, fingerboard dressing, peg fitting, and bow rehairing. Technicians are responsible for restoring proper tone, playability, and appearance while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Additional duties include documenting repair work, managing workflow efficiently, maintaining an organized and safe workspace, and collaborating with team members to meet service deadlines.

Repair Technician Associate 

This position supports the repair department by assisting with instrument cleaning, preparation, and general maintenance tasks. Technicians in this role will wash and sanitize instruments, prepare school and rental fleet instruments for distribution, and ensure all equipment meets company quality standards before being returned to customers.

Responsibilities include ultrasonic cleaning, polishing, restringing, basic adjustments, replacing small parts, and performing minor maintenance tasks that do not require advanced repair procedures. This role also involves organizing and staging instruments for rental, maintaining inventory of supplies, and ensuring instruments are properly labeled and documented.

The position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to follow established repair and preparation processes. Technicians will work closely with senior repair staff to maintain workflow efficiency and meet service deadlines.

Fret Instrument Repair Technician - Luthier

This position involves evaluating, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of fretted instruments. Technicians in this role will service school-owned and privately owned instruments. Responsibilities include diagnosing structural, mechanical, and playability issues and performing the necessary repairs to ensure instruments perform at their highest level.

The role requires the use of specialized luthier tools and equipment to complete tasks such as fret leveling and replacement, nut and saddle fabrication, neck adjustments, crack and structural repairs, electronics installation and troubleshooting, hardware replacement, and full instrument setups. Technicians are responsible for restoring optimal tone, playability, and appearance while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship and precision.

Additional duties include documenting repair work, communicating clearly with team members regarding timelines and scope of work, maintaining an organized workspace, and ensuring customer instruments are handled with the highest level of care and professionalism.

Marketing, Website Management, Social Media Associate 

This position is responsible for overseeing the company’s digital presence and community engagement efforts. The Marketing, Website & Social Media Associate manages website updates, social media platforms, and promotional initiatives to support brand awareness, customer engagement, and overall business growth.

Responsibilities include maintaining and updating the company website through Wix, ensuring accurate product listings, service information, event updates, and overall site functionality. Extensive knowledge of the Wix platform is required, including layout design, SEO optimization, content management, and troubleshooting.

This role also manages the company’s social media presence, primarily on Facebook and Instagram. Duties include creating and scheduling content, promoting events and services, engaging with followers, responding to messages and comments, and developing campaigns that reflect the company’s voice and values.

In addition to digital responsibilities, this position plays an important role in staying connected with the local community. This may include promoting school partnerships, supporting local events, coordinating marketing materials, and identifying opportunities to strengthen community relationships.

Road Representitive 

This position serves as the company’s direct connection to local schools and music programs. The Road Representative travels to assigned schools to pick up and deliver instruments, coordinate repair services, and serve as the primary face of the company for music directors and school staff.

Responsibilities include transporting instruments safely and efficiently, documenting repair intakes and returns, coordinating schedules with school music directors, and ensuring clear communication between schools and the repair department. This role requires careful handling of instruments, accurate recordkeeping, and consistent follow-through to ensure timely service.

In addition to logistics, the Road Representative builds and maintains strong professional relationships with music educators. This includes providing updates on repair timelines, answering questions about services, assisting with rental program needs, and identifying opportunities to better support each school’s music program.
